An Intrepid Day in Space
1st trip: We spoke to different women who work for NASA via SKYPE. we learned about the water filtration system aboard the space shuttle. Afterwards, we split into groups and each group designed a water filtration system using a waterer bottle, funnel, coffee filter, and a choice of two of the following: pebbles, sand, charcoal, marbles
2nd trip - That's Biology
We learned about blood types (A, B, AB, O): Which type can receive from another and donate to another type. We split into groups and were given a person's blood (not real) and had to figure out what the person's blood type was using the antigen that we were given
animal behavior (How dogs perceive and interact with humans)
Nutrition: making healthy choices
All in all, both trips were a great learning experience.
